Murnen Design designed 8 contemporary apartment layouts that are elegantly inserted into the remaining undeveloped wing of an existing historic building, the Oliver House, located in downtown Toledo, Ohio.
The Oliver House building was previously converted into a multipurpose complex, home to a micro-brewery, several restaurants, a pub, as well as a previous wing of townhouse apartments on the upper floors facing the river.
18 years prior, Kent Murnen served as a carpenter as part of the original construction crew and quickly evolved into becoming part of the design team before pursuing his degree in architectural at Miami University.
